Language Poetry is one of those things, like William Carlos Williams, where I find myself more interested in their influence than in the actual work. Is that weird?

I usually think I would rather be reading Clark Coolidge (than Language Poetry).

I mean Language Poetry opened things up. There'd be no Flarf without Language Poetry. But like I said (or suggested) I'd rather read K. Silem Mohammad than Bruce Andrews. Not that the two are opposites...

You could say google-sculpting is a form. Its cut and paste of found text, so there are earlier precedents for it. The Flarf model seems to rely on a specific kind of extreme subjectivity. "I... I... I..." but he "I" isn't the author or so it goes. But google-sculpting could be done without necessarilly taking sub- or objectivity into account. But you know, I feel kind of paranoid that I'm gonna start one of those internet Flarf Flash Fires here.
